Teen Killed, Four Other Juveniles Injured in Late-Night Shooting in Albany

A late-night shooting in Albany left one teenager dead and four other juveniles injured, according to police.

Officers were called to the 1700 block of West Broad Avenue around 11:48 p.m. on December 23, 2025, in reference to a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old male who had been shot and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police also located four additional juvenile victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The injured include a 17-year-old male, a 15-year-old male, a 16-year-old male, and a 16-year-old female.

All four injured victims were transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for treatment. Two of the victims were later transferred to a medical facility in Macon, where they remain in surgery. One of those victims is being treated for internal injuries. The other two victims were treated at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and have since been released.
