Man Flees During Mental Health Transport in Stockbridge, Public Asked to Help Locate

On Monday, April 14, 2025, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Clayton County Police officers responded to the 3000 block of Mt. Zion Road in reference to a mental health evaluation being conducted by Clayton County Fire and EMS personnel.

The subject, identified as Rasheed Qaiyim, had reportedly made threats to harm himself and was exhibiting behavior deemed a risk to public safety. EMS personnel were preparing to transport him under a 1013 mental health order when he fled the scene on foot.

Qaiyim was last seen running toward the area of Mt. Zion Road and Highway 138.

He is described as a Black male, 5’9”, 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue pants.

Authorities are urging anyone who sees Rasheed Qaiyim or has information about his location to contact the Clayton County Police Department immediately at 770-477-3648.
