Two Convicted Felons Arrested During Planned GBI Operation in Macon’s Westgate Estates

MACON, Ga. – Two people were taken into custody during a planned warrant operation in Macon’s Westgate Estates area Tuesday night, with both facing firearm charges related to their previous felony records.
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies assisted the Georgia Bureau of Investigation with the arrests late Sept. 15 on Berkshire Drive.
Quinton Lamar Johnson, 38, was arrested on a warrant involving a probation violation stemming from a previous conviction. He also faces a charge of receipt, possession or transfer of a firearm by a convicted felon or felony first offender.
Johnson was booked into the Bibb County Jail, where bond was denied.
Chris’Shayla Denise Miller, 29, was also taken into custody during the operation. She is charged with receipt, possession or transfer of a firearm by a convicted felon or felony first offender.
Miller was being held without bond at the Bibb County Jail.
Authorities described the operation as a planned warrant arrest rather than an incident that developed unexpectedly at the Berkshire Drive location.
The sheriff’s office said the suspects face multiple charges but did not release additional details about the circumstances leading to the firearm charges or what investigators recovered during the operation.
