One of Atlanta’s Most Wanted Sentenced to 5.5 Years for Unlawful Possession of Firearms and Ammunition

Jordan Pack, 35, of Atlanta, Georgia, was sentenced on March 6, 2024, to 66 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon and one count of unlawful possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.
Pack, also known by the alias “William Tate,” pleaded guilty to the charges on November 12, 2024. According to Acting U.S. Attorney Richard S. Moultrie, Pack had a history of violent felony convictions, including an armed robbery in 2008, for which he was sentenced to 20 years in prison, serving 10 years before his release in 2018.
Pack’s recent criminal actions began in October 2021, when officers arrested him after a motor vehicle collision in Dacula, Georgia. During the arrest, officers found .38 caliber ammunition in a crossbody satchel and later recovered a loaded .38 caliber revolver discarded by Pack.
In June 2022, following a domestic dispute in Northwest Atlanta, Pack threatened to shoot a female resident, fired multiple shots into the air, and fled the scene. Officers recovered five spent .45 caliber shell casings from the scene.
Pack was later located in August 2022 at an apartment complex in Southwest Atlanta, working as an armed security guard under a false name. He was found in possession of a Tokarev 12-gauge shotgun, a .45 caliber pistol, a high-capacity magazine, brass knuckles, and other weapons. A search of his vehicle uncovered additional firearms and ammunition.
Special Agent in Charge Benjamin Gibbons of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) stated that this sentence reflects the agency’s commitment to holding repeat offenders accountable and ensuring public safety.
The case was investigated by the ATF and the Atlanta Police Department, with prosecution led by Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua May.
