Atlanta Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Suspect in July 5 Shooting

ATLANTA, Ga. – Detectives with the Atlanta Police Department’s Aggravated Assault Unit are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect accused of shooting a man following a verbal altercation earlier this month.

The shooting occurred at approximately 9:23 p.m. on July 5 in the 1900 block of Joseph E. Boone Boulevard Northwest.

Officers responded to reports of a person shot and found a 33-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.

According to investigators, the suspect shot the victim multiple times following a verbal dispute before fleeing the scene on foot.

Police said the suspect was last seen running east on Joseph E. Boone Boulevard Northwest.

Investigators described the suspect as wearing a white tank top, a brown hooded sweatshirt with “Casino Life” written on the back and rhinestones on the hood, along with dark-colored jeans.

The Atlanta Police Department has released photos and video of the suspect and is asking anyone who recognizes the individual or has information about the shooting to contact Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta.

Tipsters may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000 if their information leads to the suspect’s arrest and indictment.
