Dirt Bike Rider Arrested After Leading Deputies on High-Speed Chase in Bibb County
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Unit deputies arrested a man after he led them on a high-speed chase while riding a dirt bike on the wrong side of the road. The incident began when a deputy observed the rider traveling south in the northbound lane on Napier Avenue. The deputy initiated a traffic stop, but the cyclist initially stopped before speeding off and turning down several streets.
The pursuit ended when the rider crashed at the bottom of an embankment on Para Place. After the crash, the suspect attempted to flee again but was stopped after a brief struggle with two deputies. The man fought with officers before being tased and taken into custody.
Following the arrest, the rider was transported to the hospital for evaluation before being booked at the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center. The individual, who had a suspended driver’s license, now faces multiple charges related to the incident.
