Arrests Made in Connection with Thoroughbred Lane Homicide

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has made significant strides in the investigation into the tragic homicide that occurred on January 21, 2023, in the 300 block of Thoroughbred Lane. The incident resulted in the death of 52-year-old Pinal Kumar Patel and left his wife and child injured.

Recent developments in the case have led to the arrest of several suspects:

  • Donnie White: Authorities served an arrest warrant for 20-year-old Donnie White, charging him with Felony Murder in connection with Patel’s death. White is currently being held without bond.
  • Keith Beddingfield Jr.: On September 21, 2023, Keith Beddingfield Jr., aged 30, was apprehended and transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. He faces a charge of Felony Murder related to the same incident and is also being held without bond.
  • Shaun Mills: In a separate development, 37-year-old Shaun Mills was located and apprehended by the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force in Anniston, Alabama, on March 10, 2023. Mills faces charges of Felony Murder and two counts of Aggravated Assault. He is currently awaiting extradition.
  • Terrell Ugean Mills: Earlier in the investigation, 40-year-old Terrell Ugean Mills was charged in connection with Patel’s death. Mills is currently in custody at the Jones County Sheriff’s Office for charges unrelated to this case. Additional charges of Felony Murder and two counts of Aggravated Assault were issued against him after he was identified as a suspect in the Thoroughbred Lane homicide.

The initial incident occurred at 11:01 p.m. on January 21, 2023, when deputies responded to a report of a shooting at the Patel residence. Pinal Kumar Patel succumbed to his injuries at Atrium Health, while his wife and child were hospitalized but are now in stable condition.
