Albany Shooting at Bethel Apartments Leaves One Dead, Another Hospitalized

ALBANY, GA – Albany Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and another injured on Sunday, December 28, 2025.

Officers responded around 11:45 p.m. to 507 Swift Street at the Bethel Apartments following reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, they found two male victims outside with gunshot wounds.

Lovontray Mikal Sims, 31, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The second victim was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and is in stable condition.
