Dougherty County Police Seek Public Help After Armed Robbery at Pitt Stop Convenience Store
ALBANY, Ga. — Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects involved in an armed robbery at the Pitt Stop convenience store on Sylvester Highway.
The incident occurred Saturday around 8:12 p.m. at 3225 Sylvester Highway. According to the Dougherty County Police Department, the suspects forced a customer who was leaving the store back inside and stole an undetermined amount of cash and the victim’s wallet. One of the suspects also went behind the counter and took cash from the register.
Both suspects were masked during the robbery. Store surveillance footage shows one suspect wearing a gray Nike hoodie and appearing to be at least 6 feet, 4 inches tall. No injuries were reported during the incident.
The police department is urging anyone with information about the suspects’ identities to come forward. Tips can be reported directly to the Dougherty County Police Department or anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
