Albany Police Investigating Shooting at Wild Pine Apartments

Albany police are investigating a shooting that occurred Monday afternoon at the Wild Pine Apartments on Sands Drive.

On September 15, 2025, around 12:22 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Sands Drive following reports of gunfire. A 17-year-old female was found with a gunshot wound and transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, where she is reported to be in stable condition.

Authorities confirmed the victim is not an Albany State University student.
