Georgia Man Indicted on Human Trafficking and Rape Charges

A Riverdale man has been indicted on charges of human trafficking, rape, and false imprisonment in a case involving a 15-year-old female, according to an announcement from Attorney General Chris Carr.
Christopher Clark, 27, is the fifth person to be charged in the case, which was initially closed by local jurisdictions before being reopened by the Attorney General’s Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit in 2019. The unit has already secured convictions against four other individuals related to the trafficking of the same victim, including her primary seller, who was sentenced to 70 years in prison in 2023.
According to the Attorney General’s office, Clark is alleged to have purchased the child for sex. He is also accused of forcibly raping her inside his home and holding her in a bathroom.
Clark was indicted in July by a Clayton County Grand Jury. He faces one count of Trafficking of Persons for Sexual Servitude, one count of Rape, and one count of False Imprisonment.
“This survivor deserves nothing less than maximum justice, and that’s exactly what we intend to deliver,” said Attorney General Carr. “We have built an elite team to track down traffickers in this state, and we won’t rest until every offender is behind bars.”
