Quick Action by Camden County Officials Saves Unresponsive Inmate

The alertness and swift response of corrections officers, medical staff, E-911, and EMS personnel in Camden County this week are being credited with ensuring the safety of an inmate who became unresponsive during jail intake.
On April 22, 2025, Corey Daigle appeared in Camden County Superior Court for sentencing. Deputies noted that Daigle, who had previously been booked and released on bond, appeared lethargic and not fully alert during the hearing. Following sentencing and while being processed back into the jail, Daigle’s condition worsened.
The on-duty nurse was called to evaluate Daigle and found him unresponsive. The nurse immediately administered Narcan, and corrections officers contacted the Camden County 911 Center, who dispatched EMS. EMS arrived quickly, transported Daigle to Camden Medical Center for treatment, and he was later returned to the jail and placed on medical watch.
Authorities expressed their appreciation for the “attentiveness and professionalism” of all involved, emphasizing that their quick actions led to a safe resolution of the unexpected medical emergency.
