Kingsland Traffic Stop Leads to Major Drug Seizure, Two Arrested

Early this morning, Kingsland Police Department officers conducting traffic enforcement stopped a vehicle for speeding, which resulted in a significant drug seizure and the arrest of two individuals.

During the traffic stop, officers observed signs of illegal activity and deployed a K9 unit, which alerted to the presence of narcotics. A subsequent search of the vehicle and its occupants yielded:

  • 12.1 Grams of Methamphetamine
  • 11.1 Grams of liquid Fentanyl
  • 283.6 Grams of Cocaine
  • 197.4 Grams of Mushrooms
  • 1 Firearm
  • An additional baggie of cocaine, later found hidden on the passenger.

The driver and passenger were arrested and face numerous charges, including Trafficking Cocaine, Trafficking Mushrooms, Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of a Firearm During Certain Felonies, Crossing Guard Line with Cocaine, Speeding, and Suspended License. The passenger also faces a charge related to the additional cocaine found on their person, and both face a charge of Manufacturing Fentanyl.

Chief Evans praised his officers, stating, “I am proud of my officers and their dedication to continue to clean up our community. We strive to continue keeping Kingsland one of the safest cities and I am proud of their efforts to continue to do so. Great job to the officers and K9 unit on their good police work.”
