Copper and Fiber Optic Theft in Columbus Prompts Police Search for Suspect

The Columbus Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man wanted for questioning regarding a theft on River Road, just south of Old River Road. The incident involved the cutting and removal of copper and fiber optic lines from telephone and power poles in the area.

The theft caused significant damage, financial losses, and disruptions to cell and power services for residents and businesses in the vicinity.

Authorities are offering a cash reward for any reliable information that leads to an arrest.
