Muscogee County Deputies Arrest Armed Shooting Suspect Wanted by Manchester Police
COLUMBUS, Ga. — A man described by authorities as armed and extremely dangerous has been arrested after fleeing from Manchester into Muscogee County following a recent shooting investigation.
According to the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office, members of the Collaborative Intelligence Group worked with the Manchester Police Department to locate and arrest Tyquavious Campbell, also known as “Hot Dog.”
Authorities said Campbell was wanted in connection with recent shootings in Manchester that left one person injured.
Investigators said Campbell fled into Muscogee County, where members of the Sheriff’s Office Collaborative Intelligence Group and the agency’s Special Response Team located and arrested him without incident on Sunday, June 28.
Campbell was booked into the Muscogee County Jail at approximately 9:06 p.m.
Manchester Police had obtained warrants charging Campbell with:
- Aggravated Assault
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime
In addition to those charges, the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office has charged Campbell with:
- Theft by Receiving Stolen Property (Firearm)
- Obstruction
The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office said it remains committed to preventing violent offenders from bringing gun violence into the community.
