Three Found Dead in Savannah Home from Suspected Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

At 8:45 p.m. on October 1st, Savannah Police Department (SPD) officers and Savannah Fire Department (SFD) crews responded to a residence in the 3000 block of Blossom Drive after receiving reports of deceased individuals inside. Upon arrival, authorities discovered the bodies of two adults and one juvenile.

The SPD, with assistance from Savannah Fire, conducted an initial investigation. A running generator was found inside the home, and investigators detected high levels of carbon monoxide in the air. No signs of trauma were observed on the decedents, and foul play is not suspected.

Investigators believe carbon monoxide poisoning caused the deaths, likely due to improper use of the generator indoors. The Chatham County Coroner’s Office will determine the official cause of death.
