Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigates Shooting Death on Gray Highway

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that occurred inside a residence within the 2200 block of Gray Highway. The incident was reported to the Macon-Bibb Emergency-911 Center at 9:51 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Deputies responded to the scene following a report of a person being shot. Upon arrival, deputies found 31-year-old Demarious Shamonte Brown of Macon suffering from a gunshot wound. Chief Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley pronounced Brown deceased at the scene. The next of kin has been notified.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently under investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
