Arrests Made Following Vehicle Recovery Linked to Homicide in Albany

On March 7, 2024, around 12:45 pm, investigators swiftly responded to a tip-off concerning a vehicle connected to a homicide case. The location was pinpointed to the 3900 block of Leary Road in Albany, GA.

The recovery of the vehicle resulted in significant breakthroughs, leading to multiple arrests. Jason Lamar Gaines, aged 30, faced charges including Murder, Tampering with Evidence, and Conspiracy. Gaines was promptly taken into custody and transported to the Dougherty County Jail.

Additionally, Janarrian Oliver, aged 16, was charged with Murder and subsequently taken to Terrell County RYDC.
