Son Arrested for Stabbing Attack on Father in Athens

On March 18th, 2024, at around 2:59 AM, the Athens-Clarke County Police Department swiftly responded to a distressing report of a stabbing incident at the 100 block of Cardinal Creek Lane. Upon arrival, officers found a victim who had sustained multiple stab wounds. They immediately administered life-saving measures until medical assistance arrived. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital and is currently in critical condition.

An investigation into the matter revealed that the victim’s own son was the perpetrator behind the brutal attack. Following the assault, the assailant fled the scene in a vehicle. Law enforcement promptly disseminated information about the vehicle to neighboring counties. Thanks to the collaborative efforts, authorities in Jackson County successfully located both the vehicle and the suspect, subsequently bringing him back to Clarke County for further proceedings.

Caleb Allen, a 20-year-old resident of Athens, Georgia, was apprehended and now faces serious charges including Family Violence Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Battery, obstructing a 911 call, and Theft by Taking.
