Bibb County Detectives Seek Public’s Help Identifying Jewelry Store Theft Suspects

MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying two men accused of using a fraudulent transaction to steal merchandise from a downtown jewelry store.

According to investigators, the incident occurred on the evening of June 23 at C.R. Rader Jewelry Co., located at 667 Cherry Street.

Deputies responded after receiving a report that two men had obtained merchandise through an alleged theft by deception scheme.

Investigators said the suspects fled the business in a white BMW 330i four-door sedan.

Both suspects were described as Black males wearing gray sweatsuits.

One suspect has dreadlocks and is approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall. The second suspect has short hair and is approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office released surveillance images of the two suspects and the vehicle believed to have been used during the incident.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division are asking anyone who recognizes the suspects or has information about their identities or whereabouts to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at (478) 751-7500 or Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.

The investigation remains ongoing.
