Three Arrested, Large Drug Seizures Made in Albany Raids
ALBANY, Georgia – A coordinated investigation in Albany led to multiple arrests and the seizure of large quantities of drugs and cash, according to authorities.
On March 21, 2026, the Albany-Dougherty Special Investigative Unit, working with the Albany Police Department’s Criminal Investigative Bureau, executed search warrants at two residences on Mossydale Lane and McLain Lane.
At the Mossydale Lane location, investigators recovered approximately 135 pounds of marijuana, 250 grams of cocaine, synthetic drugs, pills, nearly $10,000 in cash, and drug-related equipment.
Two individuals were arrested at that location. Benelius Paige, 47, and Machia Morton, 21, were both charged with trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in marijuana, possession of spice, possession of dangerous drugs, and possession of drug-related objects. Paige also faces an additional charge of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
A second search at a residence on McLain Lane resulted in the seizure of approximately 17 pounds of marijuana, 172 grams of spice, cocaine, and ecstasy pills.
Viridiana Manzano, 32, was arrested and charged with trafficking in marijuana, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of spice, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, and possession of drug-related objects.
Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing and additional arrests may be forthcoming.
“Removing dangerous drugs from our community remains a top priority,” said Dougherty County Chief of Police Kenneth Johnson. “We will continue working collaboratively to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents.”
