Muscogee and Russell County Deputies Seize $243K in Drugs, Arrest Alleged Trafficking Leader
The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit and the Russell County Sheriff’s Office have concluded a joint narcotics investigation that led to the arrest of Jonathan Provo, identified as the leader of a local drug trafficking organization.
The investigation resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of narcotics, multiple firearms, and cash — including a Glock pistol modified to operate as a fully automatic weapon. Search warrants executed in both jurisdictions uncovered the following:
- Xanax: 1,350.5 pills ($33,762.50)
- Marijuana: 24.9 lbs. ($112,965.00)
- Ketamine: 171.7 g ($17,170.00)
- Methamphetamine: 69.1 g ($6,910.00)
- Cocaine: 29 g ($2,900.00)
- Fentanyl: 8 g ($2,400.00)
- Acid (LSD): 345 tabs ($3,450.00)
- Percocet: 500 tablets ($12,500.00)
- Psilocybin mushrooms: 30.5 g ($475.50)
- Psilocybin gummies: 400 g ($6,000.00)
- Psilocybin chocolate bars: 4 bars ($3,480.00)
- THC gummies: 877.9 g ($1,725.00)
- THC-A: 224 g ($5,600.00)
- Spice: 3,441.7 g ($34,417.00)
- Firearms: 4 pistols (one converted to fully automatic), 3 rifles
- Cash: $6,750.00
The total estimated street value of the narcotics seized is $243,754.00.
Provo was taken into custody and booked into the Russell County Jail. He faces multiple charges, including:
- Trafficking Marijuana
- Trafficking Fentanyl
- Trafficking Opiates
- Trafficking Spice
- Possession of Cocaine with Intent
- Possession of Marijuana 1st
- Possession and Conversion of a Pistol into a Machine Gun
- Violation of Probation (MCSO warrant)
