Three Killed in Macon Shooting; Bibb County Deputies Investigating
MACON, GA — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a triple homicide after a shooting late Saturday night left three people dead on Williams Street.
Deputies responded to the 500 block of Williams Street around 10 p.m. after a 911 caller reported that a 27-year-old man had been shot and taken to a local hospital by private vehicle.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found two additional victims, a 16-year-old and a 21-year-old, who were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Bibb County Coroner’s Office identified the victims as Markell Bonner Jr., 16, and Brandon Devonta Thomas, 21. The third victim, Quantayrias De’Monte Townsend, 27, later died from his injuries at the hospital.
Investigators have not released details about possible suspects or motives.
