Pedestrian Struck by Two Vehicles in Marietta; Sustains Life-Threatening Injuries

The Marietta Police Department’s Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Unit is investigating a serious incident where an unidentified adult Hispanic male pedestrian was struck by two different vehicles last night. The incident occurred on Monday, June 2, 2025, at approximately 11:26 PM in front of 692 Powder Springs Street.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the pedestrian was crossing Powder Springs Street in the crosswalk but against the traffic control device. He was first struck by a southbound 2020 Mercedes Benz and then by a southbound 2015 Nissan. Both drivers remained on scene and are cooperating with investigators.
The pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital. Video footage from the Cobb County Police Department Real Time Crime Center confirmed the details, and no charges are anticipated against the drivers at this time.
