Three Arrested in Crisp County Traffic Stop with Large Drug Seizure and Firearm

Three individuals were arrested on multiple drug and firearms charges after a traffic stop on February 10, 2025, led to the discovery of large amounts of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and a loaded pistol.
At approximately 7:20 PM, a traffic stop was conducted by a Crisp County deputy and the Georgia State Patrol at Exit 104 of GA 401. The driver, Jessica Ray Fountain, 34, of Leesburg, and her passengers, Robert Eugene Fountain, 56, of Americus, and Dennis Wade Keen, 27, of Cordele, were unable to provide valid identification. Preliminary investigations revealed that both Jessica and Robert had provided false identifying information to officers.
Due to conflicting statements and the false information, a K9 unit was requested, which gave a positive alert indicating the presence of drugs. Further investigation led to the discovery of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and a .380-caliber pistol in the vehicle.

Sheriff Hancock commended the officers for their vigilance, which helped to remove dangerous drugs and weapons from the community.
