Driver Cited After Car Overturns, Hits Utility Pole on Eisenhower Parkway in Macon

MACON, Ga. – A driver was cited on multiple traffic charges after losing control of a car, overturning and striking a utility pole on Eisenhower Parkway, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies with the sheriff’s C.I.T.E. Unit responded to the crash involving a small sedan.

According to the incident report, the driver failed to obey a traffic signal before losing control of the vehicle. The car left the roadway, overturned and struck a utility pole.

Paramedics treated the driver at the scene. The sheriff’s office did not report any other injuries.

The driver was cited for reckless driving, driving too fast for conditions, failure to obey a traffic control device, failure to maintain lane and an expired tag.

The sheriff’s office did not release the name of the woman that was driving the vehicle.
