Fugitive Wanted for Multiple Charges Arrested in Georgia by U.S. Marshals and Task Forces

U.S. Marshals, along with the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) and the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, successfully apprehended Laquinn Davis in McDonough, Georgia, on Friday morning at approximately 6:30 a.m.

Davis, wanted by the Dayton Police Department for charges including Rape, Felonious Assault, Strangulation, Having Weapons Under Disability, and Aggravated Menacing, was taken into custody without incident. He has since been booked into the Henry County Jail in Georgia and is awaiting extradition to Ohio for his court appearance.

The collaboration between the U.S. Marshals and the Dayton Police Department proved pivotal in the arrest. Michael D. Black, United States Marshal, highlighted the importance of such partnerships and commended the efforts of the Dayton P.D. investigators and the nationwide network of fugitive task forces in ensuring the safe capture of Davis.

The U.S. Marshals SOFAST, a multi-jurisdictional task force, includes various law enforcement agencies such as the Dayton Police Department, Ohio Adult Parole Authority, Ohio State Highway Patrol, and many others. This task force, along with the U.S. Marshals Service, plays a crucial role in apprehending federal fugitives across the nation, surpassing all other law enforcement agencies combined in annual fugitive captures.
