Two Dublin Residents Arrested in Multi-Drug Trafficking Investigation

DUBLIN, Ga. — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has arrested Brantley David Johnson, 36, and Makesha Latrise Johnson, 49, both of Dublin, on multiple drug trafficking and related charges following a two-month investigation.

On Thursday, August 7, 2025, the GBI Middle Georgia Gang Task Force executed a search warrant at a home in the 500 block of Pine Street in Laurens County. Agents seized 461 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 321 grams of suspected powder cocaine, 24 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 15 grams of suspected ecstasy/MDMA, quantities of suspected oxycodone and alprazolam, an AR-style rifle, a handgun, and $5,390 in U.S. currency.

Both suspects face charges including trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to distribute ecstasy, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of Schedule II and Schedule IV substances with intent to distribute, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. M. Johnson also faces a charge of possession of a firearm by a felon.

The two were booked into the Laurens County Jail. The operation involved the GBI Middle Georgia Gang Task Force, Dublin Police Department, Georgia State Patrol, Georgia Department of Community Supervision, and Georgia Department of Corrections.
