Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Cobb County Crash

A 26-year-old Marietta man sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle crash that occurred on Wednesday, April 16, at the intersection of South Cobb Drive and Walthall Avenue.

According to the Cobb County Police Department’s S.T.E.P. Unit, the incident happened at approximately 5:19 p.m. A 2025 Kawasaki motorcycle, driven by the 26-year-old, was traveling northbound on South Cobb Drive. At the same time, a Chevrolet Silverado, operated by a 58-year-old Marietta man, pulled out from Walthall Avenue into the path of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle collided with the rear of the truck, causing the rider to be thrown from the bike. The injured motorcyclist was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the truck was reportedly uninjured.
