Reynolds Traffic Stop Leads to Drug and Firearm Arrests; Wanted Subject Apprehended in Separate Stop

On Saturday, April 5, 2025, a Reynolds Police Department officer initiated a traffic stop on a black Chevrolet truck around 6:30 PM after observing the vehicle with a suspended registration and no insurance.
The driver, identified as 39-year-old John Lassen III of Albany, GA, and the passenger, 32-year-old August Henderson of Albany, GA, were contacted. During the interaction with Lassen, probable cause was established to search the vehicle.
The subsequent search, assisted by another officer, yielded a black bag containing a pipe with methamphetamine residue and small baggies of methamphetamine. Officers also located marijuana and a firearm under the rear seat of the truck.
John Lassen III is being charged with:
- Possession of Methamphetamine (Felony)
- Possession of a firearm by convicted felon (Felony)
- Possession of firearm during commission of a felony (Felony)
- Possession of drug related objects (Misdemeanor)
- Operating vehicle with suspended registration (Misdemeanor)
- No insurance (Misdemeanor)
August Henderson is being charged with:
- Possession of marijuana less than an ounce (Misdemeanor)
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (Felony)
- Tampering with evidence (Felony)
In a separate incident on the same day, April 5, 2025, a Flock camera alerted officers to a wanted subject. Sgt. Bell and Officer Williams conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, identifying the driver as 27-year-old Jaylin Clark-McNatte of Hinesville, GA, who had an active warrant out of Reynolds P.D. for failure to appear.
Clark-McNatte was taken into custody on the warrant. A subsequent search of the vehicle, prompted by the odor of marijuana, resulted in the discovery of a quantity of marijuana less than an ounce and a plastic baggie containing two white oblong-shaped pills identified as a Schedule II controlled substance.
Jaylin Clark-McNatte was charged with possession of marijuana less than one ounce and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, in addition to the execution of his outstanding warrant.
