Buford Man Arrested in Stolen Vehicle Linked to Multiple Armed Robberies

The Gwinnett County Police Department has arrested 19-year-old Trevon Hogges of Buford in connection with a stolen vehicle and multiple armed robberies that occurred earlier this year.
On February 26, officers attempted to stop a stolen vehicle, but the driver, later identified as Hogges, fled at a high rate of speed. The police Aviation Unit monitored the vehicle from the air as Hogges eventually crashed and then attempted to flee on foot. He was apprehended after a brief pursuit.
Through investigative methods, detectives linked Hogges to two armed robberies:
- January 14: At approximately 9:15 a.m., officers responded to an armed robbery at a check-cashing business located at 3675 Satellite Blvd in unincorporated Duluth. A suspect matching Hogges’ description allegedly fired a shot through the front door and demanded access to the safe before fleeing on foot.
- January 16: A suspect matching the same description attempted another robbery at a check-cashing business in Smyrna. Investigators from Gwinnett County Police and Smyrna Police believe Hogges is responsible for both incidents.
Hogges has been charged with multiple offenses, including Aggravated Assault, Reckless Driving, Fleeing, Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, Obstruction, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.
