Traffic Stop Leads to Drug and Warrant Arrests in Crisp County

A traffic stop on February 23, 2025, resulted in the arrests of Koa Starr and Sandy Mosley on drug and warrant charges.

A Crisp County deputy initiated a traffic stop on a 2017 Nissan Altima for failure to maintain minimum speed and lane on HWY 280/Slade Road.

Arrest Details:

  • Koa Starr, 44, of Albany, GA:
    • Starr, the driver, was found to be on felony probation and was not the vehicle’s owner.
    • A search of the vehicle, with Starr’s permission, revealed:
      • A crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine.
      • Several small zip-loc baggies.
      • A glass smoking device.
      • A large amount of new credit and debit cards.
    • Starr was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine).
  • Sandy Mosley (Vehicle Owner):
    • Mosley, the vehicle’s owner, arrived on scene and was found to have an active warrant from the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office.
    • Mosley was arrested on the active warrant.

Both individuals were transported to the Crisp County Detention Center.
