Suspect Arrested in Armed Robbery at Albany Walgreens, Linked to Multiple Burglaries

On February 10, 2025, officers responded to an armed robbery at Walgreens, located at 2414 Sylvester Rd, around 8:00 P.M. A witness reported seeing a black male flee the scene, heading towards East Broad Ave and Leonard St.

Investigators reviewed surveillance footage, leading to the identification of 44-year-old Raymond Aham-Kharkiv Young as the suspect. Young, already known to authorities for his involvement in several burglaries, was linked to the robbery at Happy Liquors on Cordele Rd, which occurred days earlier.

Officers located Young in the 2400 block of Leonard Ave, where he admitted to committing the armed robbery at Walgreens and the burglary at Happy Liquors.

Young has been charged with Armed Robbery, Possession of Firearm in Commission of a Crime, Probation Violation, and Financial Transaction Card Fraud (8 counts).
