Gwinnett County Police Arrest Suspect in Buford Armed Robbery
Samuel Norman

The Gwinnett County Police Department arrested 26-year-old Samuel Norman in connection with a January 27 armed robbery at a business on Buford Drive.

Officers responded to a 911 call in the 2600 block of Buford Drive, where the victim reported that a suspect had approached the counter, brandished a firearm, and demanded cash from the register before fleeing on foot. Responding officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

The case was assigned to detectives, who, with assistance from specialized units, reviewed surveillance footage and used investigative tools to identify Norman as the suspect. On February 4, a detective canvassing the area for additional leads spotted Norman leaving a residence. Officers approached and arrested him without incident.

Norman has been charged with Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony. He is currently booked in the Gwinnett County Jail.
