Man Fatally Shot in East Macon, Investigation Underway
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the 3900 block of Hattie Drive in East Macon on Saturday night, January 25, 2025. Deputies responded to the location just before 11:00 p.m. after receiving a report of a person shot.
Upon arrival, deputies found a 32-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Atrium Health, where medical staff later pronounced him deceased.
Investigators are working to determine the circumstances leading up to the shooting. The name of the victim will be released after next of kin has been notified.
