Passenger Killed, Two Injured in Glynn County Crash at I-95 Exit

A car crash at a Glynn County interstate exit on Tuesday afternoon claimed the life of a passenger in one of the vehicles and sent two others to the hospital with serious injuries.

The Georgia State Patrol reported that a Mercedes S450 was traveling south on the exit ramp for Spur 25 at exit 38 of Interstate 95 around 2 p.m. when it ran a red light and collided with a Honda Pilot traveling north on the Spur. The impact caused the Mercedes to overturn and come to rest in a nearby parking lot.

A passenger in the Mercedes was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Mercedes and the Honda driver were both transported to a hospital with serious injuries. Their identities had not been released as of Tuesday afternoon.

The south ramp of the interstate at exit 38 and Spur 25 remained closed until 3:30 p.m. The Georgia State Patrol’s Serious Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the incident.
