Albany Police Apprehend 19-Year-Old Suspect in Robbery Cases, Charges Filed

On June 3, 2024, Albany Police officers responded to a report of robbery on the 400 Block of Flint Avenue at approximately 11:56 AM. The victim, a male, reported that his cellphone had been stolen by an unknown black male and provided a description of the suspect’s clothing. Shortly afterward, the suspect was apprehended at the intersection of Alice Avenue and S. Jefferson. The apprehended individual was identified as Konterrias Jackson, aged 19.

Further investigation revealed that Jackson was also responsible for another robbery that occurred on May 24, 2024, involving a juvenile victim. In that incident, Jackson stole the juvenile’s cellphone and AirPods after brandishing a firearm.

Jackson has been charged with robbery and was transported to the Dougherty County Jail. Additional charges are expected to be added as the investigation progresses.
