Blakely Woman Arrested for 0,000 Theft from Employer

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested and charged Brenda Stein, 67, of Blakely, GA, with two counts of Felony Theft by Taking. The arrest follows an investigation requested by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office on February 23, 2024, concerning a theft at Youmans’ Machine Shop in Donalsonville, GA.

Stein, an employee at Youmans’ Machine Shop since 2006, allegedly opened credit card accounts in her name under the business’s account. Investigators found that she had charged over $100,000 in personal purchases while serving as the company’s secretary from 2018 to 2024.

Stein has been booked into the Seminole County Jail.
