Young Man Found Shot Dead in Front Yard in Albany

On April 9, 2024, at approximately 4:36 pm, Albany Police Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Monarch Drive following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim, identified as 20-year-old Emonyei Ward, laying in the front yard, deceased from a gunshot wound to the upper body.
