Albany Police Respond to Shooting Incident Involving Car Crash, Multiple Victims Hospitalized

Albany Police responded to reports of gunfire and an auto accident on April 1, 2024, in the area of S Madison St/W Whitney Ave and N Jefferson St/Pine Ave. The incident escalated from a car crash to a shooting.

Three men, 24-year-old Audreya Carter, 49-year-old Clinton Bargman, and 39-year-old Jose Brown, sustained gunshot wounds. Another man, 31-year-old Dequan Wilson, suffered mouth injuries from the accident impact. Despite attempts to flee, two of the gunshot victims were found by officers in front of the State Theater on Pine Ave.

All victims were transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Carter remains in critical condition.

Currently, there isn’t any suspect information.
