Three Arrested in Connection with November 6 Athens Homicide
Three suspects arrested and charged with murder

ATHENS, GA – Athens-Clarke County police have arrested three additional suspects in the investigation of the November 6 death of 22-year-old Antonio Jewell Jr.

Jewell was found lying on the sidewalk in the 100 block of Madison Avenue around 8:16 p.m. following what police say was an armed robbery attempt.

On November 24 and 25, three males from Athens, aged 18 and 19, were taken into custody. They are charged with murder, armed robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of/attempt to commit certain felonies, and criminal street gang offenses. The three suspects were identified as 23-year-old Samtavious Clark, 18-year-old Jeremiah Gresham, and 18-year-old Dion Nesbitt, all from Athens.
