Savannah Juvenile Arrested for Armed Vehicle Hijacking

Savannah Police have arrested a male juvenile in connection with an Oct. 30 hijacking in the 3000 block of Skidaway Road.

Officers responded around 7:30 p.m. after reports that a woman was approached while fueling her vehicle, robbed of property and her car at gunpoint. Using Flock cameras, police located the vehicle and stopped it following a short pursuit that ended in a single-vehicle accident at Dieter St. and East Park Ave. The suspect attempted to flee on foot but was quickly taken into custody.

The juvenile faces charges including hijacking a motor vehicle, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person under 18, felony obstruction, hit and run, and fleeing to elude.
