Man Charged with Murder After Fatal Stabbing at Savannah Walmart

SAVANNAH, Ga.—The Chatham County Police Department (CCPD) has arrested and charged 48-year-old Delano Middleton with murder in connection with the stabbing death at Walmart, of an 18-year-old following an altercation last week.

The incident occurred on October 23, 2025, at the Hwy. 80 Walmart in Savannah, where the 18-year-old victim was stabbed. The victim succumbed to his injuries on Monday, October 27, 2025.

CCPD detectives filed the murder charge today after consulting with the Chatham County District Attorney’s Office. Middleton was taken into custody and will be transported to the Chatham County Detention Center.

The Chatham County Police Department stated that it will not provide further comment on the case now that charges have been filed and the matter is in the court system.
