Traffic Stop in Glynn County Leads to Three Arrests, Seizure of Fentanyl, Meth, and Firearm

A routine traffic stop conducted by Glynn County Police Department officers early Wednesday morning, June 11, 2025, resulted in the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of a significant quantity of narcotics and a loaded firearm.
At approximately 2:15 a.m., officers pulled over a silver Chevrolet Malibu in the 5400 block of New Jesup Highway for a traffic violation. The vehicle’s occupants were identified as Tamieka Nicole Andsley (28), Leroy Johnson (24), and Anturiuos Kendell Johnson-Jones (37).
During the subsequent investigation, officers located a loaded Glock handgun and various illegal substances and prescription drugs, including:
- Marijuana
- Fentanyl
- Methamphetamine
- Gabapentin
- Tramadol
- Oxycodone tablets
All three individuals were arrested and charged with:
- Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute
- Trafficking in Schedule II Controlled Substance (Fentanyl)
- Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance with the Intent to Distribute (Methamphetamine)
- Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance with the Intent to Distribute (Oxycodone)
- Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substance with the Intent to Distribute (Tramadol)
- Possession of Dangerous Drug (Gabapentin)
Leroy Johnson faces additional charges of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of Certain Crimes.
All suspects were transported to the Glynn County Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming. The Glynn County Police Department reiterated its commitment to removing dangerous drugs and illegal firearms from the streets.
