Man Charged With Child Molestation After Exposing Himself to Children at St. Simons Island Beach

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – A man has been arrested on two child molestation charges after two young children reported that he exposed himself to them at Coast Guard Beach on St. Simons Island, according to the Glynn County Police Department.

The investigation began Sunday, Aug. 23, while Glynn County police officers were conducting beach patrol operations. An officer was approached about suspicious activity involving a man and a child at Coast Guard Beach.

As officers investigated, they received information involving two separate children, ages 8 and 9. Both children reported that an adult man had exposed himself to them while they were on the beach.

Officers located the man as he was leaving the beach area and identified him as William Walter Frick. Police said Frick was taken into custody following the initial investigation.

Detectives Conduct Forensic Interviews With Children

Glynn County Police detectives continued investigating the allegations, including conducting forensic interviews with the two children.

Based on the investigation, Frick was arrested and charged with two counts of Child Molestation.

Police did not release Frick’s age or hometown and did not provide further details about the alleged encounters with the children.

The investigation remains active, and authorities said additional charges could be filed as detectives continue their work.

Investigators are specifically seeking anyone who witnessed suspicious activity involving Frick at Coast Guard Beach on Aug. 23 or who may have other information relevant to the case.
