14-Year-Old Arrested for Terroristic Threats Against Alcovy High School
The Newton County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 14-year-old male on June 2, 2025, for making online threats against students and staff at Alcovy High School in Covington, GA. He has been charged with terroristic threats and acts, and his case will be handled by the Juvenile Court System.
Sheriff Ezell Brown emphasized that all threats or acts of violence will not be tolerated and those responsible will be held accountable. He also urged parents and students to be mindful of their words and actions.
