18-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Albany Crash

An 18-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash at the intersection of Clark Avenue and Cordele Road on the evening of February 17, 2025.

Albany Police Officers responded to the scene at approximately 7:28 p.m. after reports of a serious injury crash involving a motorcycle. The rider, identified as Cameron Nichols, was traveling eastbound on Clark Avenue and attempted to turn left onto Cordele Road when he failed to yield. His motorcycle collided with a westbound Chevrolet Impala.

Nichols was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Impala was uninjured. Authorities confirmed there will be no charges in the incident.
