Atlanta Police Heighten Security Ahead of Peach Bowl Following New Orleans Incident

Following the terroristic incident in New Orleans earlier this morning, the Atlanta Police Department announced enhanced security measures ahead of the Peach Bowl between Texas and Arizona State. The game is set to take place in Atlanta, and additional officers had already been deployed as part of pre-event preparations.

In response to the New Orleans events, the department has further increased its presence by dispatching specialized units and additional personnel to Downtown and Midtown Atlanta. These efforts aim to ensure the safety of residents and visitors during the festivities surrounding the game.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the City of New Orleans and the NOPD,” Atlanta Police said in a statement.
