Carroll County’s ACE Unit Strikes Again: Major Methamphetamine Bust Ties to Gainesville Suspect
The Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Unit of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office has made significant strides in enhancing community safety through a recent investigation into Angela Reese, 53, of Gainesville, for allegedly transporting large quantities of methamphetamine into Carroll County.
Last month, the ACE Unit initiated an investigation that culminated in a strategic traffic stop on Reese. With the assistance of Carrollton Police Department Corporal Awalt and his K9 partner, Rotar, deputies conducted a comprehensive search of Reese’s vehicle. This search yielded several ounces of suspected methamphetamine, highlighting the potential threat her activities posed to the community.
Expanding their investigation, ACE Unit deputies then searched Reese’s associated motel room in Villa Rica, where they discovered additional ounces of methamphetamine. These findings demonstrate the ACE Unit’s commitment to thoroughly dismantling drug trafficking operations within Carroll County.
The ACE Unit comprises dedicated investigators from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Carrollton Police Department, and the University of West Georgia Police Department, all focused on combating drug trafficking and other criminal activities. Their relentless pursuit of justice continues to make Carroll County a safer place to live.
