Two Shot in Early Morning Gunfire Incident in South Murray County
On Sunday, August 25, 2024, at approximately 2:00 AM, emergency personnel and deputies from the Murray County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance involving gunfire off Sexton Road in south Murray County. Upon arrival, it was determined that two individuals had been shot. They were transported to the nearest hospital in Gordon County for treatment.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation, in collaboration with the Murray County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies, is conducting a rapidly evolving investigation into the incident.
